Price is a 2019 graduate of Florida Southern College and is teaching in Lee County. She is looking for an opportunity in journalism in the Lakeland area and plans to return to Lakeland as soon as a job opens up for her. Her platform is “Organ Donation – Be a Life Saver” and she volunteers with Donate Life Florida.

Florida Southern women to represent Lakeland and Polk County at Miss Florida 2020

Price said pageants have helped her with her communication and networking skills and has met some of her best friends doing pageants. She said she used to be more shy in high school, but doing pageants has helped her become more outgoing.

Miss Florida Citrus Excited About Citrus Expo

Price, who was crowned Miss Florida Citrus in March, is proud to have grown up in LaBelle surrounded by citrus and other agricultural commodities. She views her Miss Florida Citrus title as an opportunity to give back to her community and to the citrus industry.

New Miss Florida Citrus Claims Her Crown

She was sponsored by Seald Sweet LLC and works part-time for Perfect Game Baseball. Her platform is “Organ Donation – Be A Lifesaver,” promoting the awareness and importance of organ donation and how many lives can be saved through the process.

One-On-One With Miss Florida Citrus 2018

I grew up in the small, agriculturally inclined town of LaBelle. Throughout those years, many of the citrus companies were very involved in the youth of our community and sponsored sports teams, 4-H programs, and even any pageant endeavors that I presented them. I viewed the Miss Florida Citrus pageant as a way to give back to those people who helped shape me into the young woman that I am today.

On Saturday, March 9th, during the Palmetto Heritage Festival Opening Ceremonies at 10:00 AM, the first sign of the historic Citrus Label Tour of Manatee County will be unveiled at the Manatee County Agricultural Museum.

Industry Encouraged to Support Miss Florida Citrus Program

“The pageant is a Miss America preliminary pageant, which means that the two contestants who win the two titles will go on to the Miss Florida pageant, and the winner of that pageant goes to Miss America,” explains Brenda Eubanks Burnette, coordinator of the Miss Florida Citrus pageant.
